As the country is struggling with the novel coronavirus pandemic, MG Motor India and MG Nagpur Dealership have stepped forward to contribute and help in every possible way. The carmaker and the dealer on Monday donated five retrofitted Hector ambulances to Nangia Specialty Hospital in the city.
The inauguration of the new ambulances was done at the hands of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari. As the number of COVID-19 patients in the city is growing, the retrofitted Hector ambulances will prove very beneficial to the citizens. The specially designed Hector ambulance features essential life-saving medical equipment such as an auto-loading stretcher, an oxygen supply system with a cylinder, a medicine cabinet with five-parameter monitor, fire extinguisher, an exterior light bar with a siren and amplifier, an inverter with battery and sockets etc. MD of MG Motor India Pvt. Ltd Rajeev Chaba said that the company has received good response from the hospitals in Halol and Vadodara where the ambulances were donated.
“The company is undertaking this noble cause under its MG Sewa initiative aimed at helping the needy persons of the society. We hope that the company will undertake such initiatives in future too,” he added. Head of the MG Nagpur Dealership Mahesh Nangia said that the ambulance facility will be operated under the banner of American Oncology Institute Nangia Specialty Hospital in association with the Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune.
