Shuttler Nikkita 4th in BAI doubles rankings

Talented city shuttler Nikkita Joseph has reached her career best ranking in the U-17 girls doubles category in the recently updated Badminton Association of India’s ranking list. The shuttler has been ranked fourth in Under-17 girls doubles, category as per the Badminton Association of India ranking system. In singles, she is ranked a creditable at 14th position. She is the only shuttler from Nagpur to rank in both singles and doubles categories. Nikkita and her partner Asawari Khandekar performed well in last year’s Sub-junior National’s held at Odisha.

On the basis of last year’s performances, Badminton Association of India published the rankings for singles top 18 players and top nine players in doubles categories of the country. Nikkita, a Class 10 student of Modern School, Koradi, trains at Annasaheb Gundewar College and Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur Stadium under experienced Badminton World Federation-certified coach Chetak Khedikar. Nikkita has thanked the Federal Bank and all her well-wishers and coach for their support.
