MPPSC held as per schedule, 5 COVID patients appear amid strict measures

Even though lockdown was imposed in the city, MPPSC examination was conducted at all centres as per schedule on Sunday. There were isolation hall at all centres for Covid patients where doctors were on duty to invigilate the candidates. Isolation hall was arranged for patients at centres in Bhopal, Indore and Chhindwara only. Five Covid-19 patients reached the centres to appear in the exam under strict safety measures. Doctor and medical team were assigned to monitor the patients.
 
District management had made arrangements to send back the patients to Covid centre from examination hall. They were brought to the centre in ambulance and then sent back by ambulance. There were three Covid patients in Indore and two in Bhopal. Six covid patients had registered to appear in the exam centre in Bhopal but two were in serious condition so they did not appear in the exam. Patients were assigned sitting arrangement at certain distance with face mask, gloves and other safety kit. Exam time was 10 am to 1 pm. In Bhopal, the centre was assigned at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bairagarh, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Govindpura, Government Naveen Higher Secondary School Anand Nagar, Government Excellence Higher Secondary School Shivaji Nagar and Nutan College.
 
Exams will continue at all these centres till March 26. Thermal screening at entrance gate was mandatory for all. None of candidates were allowed without face mask and hand sanitiser was allowed. Electronic device, watch and other electronics were prohibited. Candidates were searched properly before writing the exam. Even hair of girl candidate were checked. Out of 1,577 registered candidates, 1,562 appeared at centre to write the exam. MPPSC exam was scheduled at 29 centres of eight cities.
