Judge of High Court of Chhattisgarh Justice Sharad Kumar Gupta has tendered his resignation to President of India Ram Nath Kovind from the post of Judge of the High Court just before one month of his retirement. In his resignation letter, Justice Sharad Kumar Gupta mentioned, “I have given my consent to the Government of Chhattisgarh for new appointment.
 
Therefore, I respectfully pray that my resignation may kindly be accepted from March 31, 2021.” State Government may give new responsibility to Gupta in any commission. Justice Sharad Kumar Gupta was born on April 4 in 1959 at Rajnandgaon. Justice Gupta completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Awadhesh Pratap University in first division from Rewa. Further, he did his LLB from Jivaji University with first division.
 
Then continuing legacy of his father late B S Gupta, retired District & Session Judge, he started career in 1985 by joining MP Judiciary as Civil Judge in first attempt. Past 32 years of his service consisted of working in multiple dimensions that include Legal Advisor EOW, District & Session Judge, Special Judge, Principal Judge Family Court, Legal Advisor to His Excellency Governor of Chhattisgarh. He was elevated as an Additional Judge of High Court of Chhattisgarh on June 27, 2017.
