Four city fencers in State team

AS MANY as four fencers from the city have made it to the Maharashtra State squad for the 22nd edition of National Sub-Junior Fencing Championships being held at Cuttak in Odisha. The players were selected according to the rankings and four players from Nagpur were selected, informs Mohd Shoeb, Secretary, Nagpur Fencing Association through a press release.
 
The players are — Gauri Tarhaan (sabre), Chhahat Rodge (epee), Anushri Jagmohan (foil) and Sparsh Binkar (foil). The three-day event will end on March 26. The players have credited their success to coach Ankit Gajbhiye and Rahul Mandavkar. Shoeb and Ajay Sontakke, president of the association, congratulated the girls and wished them luck.
