Colleges too have prepared themselves to conduct the examination
The four-phase examinations to be conducted by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) and colleges will begin on Thursday. The examinations those are to be conducted by University will be web-based which means students can write it on laptop, Personal Computer too. The format of examinations to be conducted by colleges will differ from institutions to institutions. Colleges are free to conduct examinations as per their will. It means they can conduct examinations on online or offline mode. Practical examinations of all semesters of regular and ex-students Under Graduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG) and Diploma Programme of all faculties were conducted in online/offline mode. University had conducted last theory examination in 2020 successfully.
It was the first experience of university with new team in Chair but from Minister to Governor all got impressed by the manner in which RTMNU had conducted the examinations. Every other university barring a few faced several problems pre and post-examinations. It was an on-line and App-based examinations. The app was to be downloaded on mobile having Android system and then students could write the examination. Now the examination that is beginning on Thursday will be web-based. It means students can write the examination on Personal Computer, laptop and even mobile as per their convenience.
The technical system has been properly arranged so that end-user, here the student would find it easier. Colleges too are holding examinations and doing in a scrupulous manner. In-Charge Principal of Hislop College Dr Prashant Shelke said, “We are fully prepared and will see that the examinations be conducted in a fair manner. Colleges too will be experiencing on-line examinations for the first time. We have sent all the instructions to the students well in advanced.” Aishwarya Verma, Post Graduate student of English of Hislop agreed what her Principal claimed. She said, “College has sent us clear instructions about the examination as to how it would be held, what we students have to do, in what manner the examination be conducted. There is no doubt in the minds of any students. College had conducted our classed online in a proper manner during that time to our teachers kept giving us the required instructions.” Theory examination of Semester III and V of regular and ex-students of PG programme of all specialisations to be conducted at college/department level will be held between March 25 and April 10, 2021. Theory examination of regular and ex-students of UG Program conducted by University level and partly at college/department level will be held from March 25 to April 5, 2021 under phase I.
The examinations held include, Semester III of Two Year Courses, Semester V of Three Year Courses, Semester VII of Four Year Courses, Semester IX of Five Year Courses. Phase II will begin on April 5 and conclude on April 14, 2021. These examinations of regular and ex-students of UG program conducted by University level and partly at College/Department level include, Semester III of Three Year Courses, Semester V of Four Year Courses, Semester VII of Five Year Courses The theory examinations under Phase III of regular and ex-students of UG Program will be held at University level and partly at College/Department level will commence on April 15 and end on April 25, 2021. They include Semester I of Three Year Courses other than students admitted through centralized admission process, Semester III of Four Year Courses, Semester V of Five Year Courses. Phase four examinations will begin on April 25 and conclude on May 5, 2021. Regular and ex-students of UG Program conducted by University level and partly at College/Department level will appear in the examinations including Semester I of Four Year Courses other than students admitted through centralized admission process, Semester III of Five Year Courses, Semester I of Five Year Courses other than students admitted through centralized admission process, Semester I of one year Diploma and Degree. Theory examination of old ex-students, ex-students (failure students) of Even semesters (II, IV, VI, VIII & X) of UG and PG Program conducted at College/Department level will be held between March 31 and April 15, 2021. Dates of examinations of Semester I PG Program admitted through Centralised Admission Process (M. Sc, M. A, M. Com, LL M, MCT, MFD, MHM, MTD, M Lib, MFA, MCM, MIRPM etc) will be announced soon. Also the dates of examination of Semester I UG and PG Program admitted through Government CET Centralised Admission Process (B E, B Tech, B Pharm, B Arch, BHMCT, LL B, BA LL B, BFA, B Ed, B P Ed, M Ed, M P Ed, M E, M Tech, M Pharm, M Arch, MBA, MCA etc) will be announced soon.
University and College level The examination time-table published by the university on website having major subjects of particular examination will be conducted by university itself. The colleges, departments will take the responsibility of examinations/subjects where total number of students strength will be around 100 students.
