Alert RPF personnel rescue API of State police from coming under wheels of train

An alert constable of Railway Protection Force (RPF) saved life of an Assistant Police Inspector (API) of Maharashtra Police who slipped into the cavity between the platform and a moving train at Nagpur Railway Station on Saturday. Sr Divisional Security Commandant (Sr DSC) Ashutosh Pandey informed ‘The Hitavada’ that the API was boarding in a running train 02190 Nagpur-Mumbai Duranto express on Saturday at 9 pm. However, the API slipped into the cavity between the platform and the moving train.
After seeing, the youth slip, RPF’s Head Constable Sanjay Khandare rushed towards him and pushed him in the train. API is posted at Chembur Police Station in Mumbai. The incident caught on the camera, Sr DSC Pandey have shared the video. This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. A similar incident took place in Wardha station on March 22, where an RPF constable Nilesh Pinjarkar saved life of a woman passengers by pulling her out of the gap between train and the platform. Sr DSC Pandey said that he was proud of the RPF staff for their alertness and doing great service to the train passengers.
