A combined team of Crime Branch and Sanjeevani Nagar police have nabbed an accused and seized 60 kilograms of adulterated Khowa stock from him in Dhanvantri Nagar and seized a motorcycle from him, on Friday. The arrested has been identified as Shubham Rajak, a resident of Sanaidongri village, Dhuma in Seoni district. SHO of Sanjeevani Nagar police station, Bhumeshwari Chouhan informed that under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna, police have started a special campaign against food adulteration under the supervision of Additional SP (Crime/South), Gopal Prasad Khandel and CSP, Gorakhpur, Alok Sharma. During the campaign, Crime Branch police received information about a suspected man who was transporting substandard quality of food item from Dhuma in Seoni district for its selling in Jabalpur on a motorcycle.
 
Taking prompt action on the information, a combine team of Crime Branch and Sanjeevani Nagar police started a search and stopped the identified motorcycle bearing registration number MP-22MK-8403 in Dhanvantri Nagar area. In the search, police seized adulterated quality of Khowa. The accused named Shubham Rajak informed that he was on the way towards selling the Khowa in Jabalpur market. Learning about the trap, Food Inspector, Mukund Jharia reached the spot and sent the sample of seized Khowa for its laboratory examination.
 
In the trap, the police team led by SHO of Sanjeevani Nagar police station, Bhumeshwari Chouhan, comprised of Dhanvantri Nagar police post, in-charge, Satya Narayan Kushwaha, Crime Branch’s ASI, Virendra Singh, Head Constable, Sugreev Tiwari, Constables, Ajay Yadav, Sadiq Ali, Gyanendra Pathak and Mukesh Parihar.
