Set up ministry for co-op sector: Sahakar Bharati

 

 

Highlighting that more than 8 lakh co-operative institutions are operating in the country, Sahakar Bharati recently urged the Central Government to set up an independent ministry for the sector. Vivek Jugade, Member of the National Executive of Sahakar Bharati said the demand was raised in the meeting of the National Executive Council of Sahakar Bharati. As of now, the co-operative sector is working under the Ministry of Agriculture. Interestingly, more than 35 crore people are associated with the sector.
