The corporation is collecting dry and wet waste separately. The old mother board, unused CDs, cassettes, broken keyboards, cycle wheels etc received as e-waste are also receiving motor vehicle parts, scraps and other types of unusable items separately. This guitar was made using these same things. Eight artists worked 25 days to make it. BMC officials are also raising awareness for ‘Best Out of Waste’ materials that are popularly used for best out of waste projects are newspapers, cords, and threads, buttons, candy sticks, recycled bulbs, plastic bottles, any old furniture that can be revamped, the list is endless.
Recycling reduces the need for extracting (mining, quarrying and logging), refining and processing raw materials all of which create substantial air and water pollution. As recycling saves energy it also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to tackle climate change. Making the best out of waste has been a part of human life since the early ages. This activity helped to enhance not only creativity and presentation skills of the student-teachers but also helped them to realise the importance of recycling and reusing waste material available to them.
