CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced to name Khandwa Medical College, new district hospital of Burhanpur and sugarcane centre in the name of late Nandkumar Singh Chouhan
The last rites of Member of Parliament and former State BJP President Nandkumar Singh Chouhan were performed at his home town Shahpur in Burhanpur on Wednesday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Thawarchand Gehlot, Prahalad Patel, BJP State President V D Sharma, BJP State Organisation General Secretary Suhas Bhagat, MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, former State BJP President Rakesh Singh took part in final journey of Nandkumar Singh Chouhan. Large number of people thronged to bid adieu to their beloved leader. Former State Congress President Arun Yadav also turned out to offer tribute to Nandkumar Singh Chouhan. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave shoulder to bier of Nandkumar Singh Chouhan.
At one occasion, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan even broke down into tears while remembering Nandkumar Singh Chouhan. Former BJP State President Rakesh Singh and Minister Tulsiram Silawat consoled him. Nandkumar Singh Chouhan’s son Harshvardhan lit the pyre. In his tribute, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced to name Khandwa Medical College, new district hospital of Burhanpur and sugarcane centre in the name of late Nandkumar Singh Chouhan.
He also said that statue of Nandkumar Singh Chouhan will be installed in Shahpur. Remembering Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, he told that now Shahpur, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Rewa bank is deserted. V D Sharma said he learnt a lot from Nandkumar Singh Chouhan. “When I got reins of party, Nandkumar Singh Chouhan told that he will stand with me like a rock,” he added. Prahalad Patel said that he could not believe that Nandkumar Singh Chouhan is no more. Rakesh Singh said that Nandkumar Singh Chouhan left his mark everywhere and will be remembered everywhere.
