Recuperating athlete of the city Mayuri Patle has been discharged from the hospital and is now been taken care at her home. Mayuri was admitted to Neuron Hospital after she met with an accident while going to attend Khelo India selection trials last month. Eighteen-year-old Mayuri was in ICU for around two weeks and was being treated by Dr Pramod Giri. With her financial condition not well, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University helped her. Similarly, Persistent Foundation too came forward and donated Rs 1 lakh for Mayuri’s treatment. Recently, members of the foundation thanked Dr Giri and also felicitated him with a shawl and a memento.
Dr Giri had taken special care of Mayuri during her treatment at the hospital. The formal felicitation programme was attended by Arjuna Award winner Vijay Munishwar, Dr Vivek Awasare, NMC Sports Officer Piyush Ambulkar, Ritesh Gawande and Neha Barde.
