After introducing Night Safari, Van Vihar National Park has started receiving good response from visitors. On Sunday, record break number of people initiated their booking. Night Safari was started at Van Vihar on March 4 but for first two days there were ministers and officials visited the safari. From March 6, general public started their bookings to enjoy flora and fauna of the park during night hours. On March 6, there were 30 tourists for Night Safari, on Sunday there were around 50 visitors booked the safari. All bookings were before 7 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm. Tourists enjoyed scenes with Sambhar, Cheetal, Krishna Mrig, Nilgai, wild boar, hyena etc herbivore.
 
They also watched the scenic beauty from Pahari Baba point to Upper Lake, VIP Road, Taj-ul-Masajid, Buland Minar, Raja Bhoj Setu, Takia Tapu etc. The park officials said visitors were happy to enjoy night safari for the first time in city. Concerned over the demand of visitors, the park management is planning to introduce boating too. Officials have started preparation to provide boating with world class facilities. Maximum six people are allowed for safari at a time. Torch and inflammable products will not be allowed for visitors during safari as it disturbs the animals. Identify card will be mandatory for all during bookings.
 
Vehicle driver and guide will be provided by the park management. This will be four hours safari from 7 pm to 11 pm. Visitors will get to track on 13 km of area in 50 minutes. In this safari, tourists will get to see only herbivore animals in free range. Charges for night safari include Rs 200 for above 16 years of age and Rs 100 for 5 to 16 years.
