Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that there is an adequate arrangement of beds, oxygen, medicines, injections etc. in hospitals for treatment in all districts of State. COVID Care Centers are being set up in every district. Adequate number of beds is being increased in all districts for future requirements. Private hospitals are also being contracted. He said that all ministers should start working on war footing in their respective areas for prevention of corona infection, treatment etc.
 
He was chairing an emergency meeting of Cabinet members at Mantralaya on Saturday. 60 per cent beds in Government hospitals and 47 per cent in private hospitals vacant: Chief Minister said that 60 per cent of beds in Government hospitals and 47 per cent in private hospitals are vacant for corona patients. AS many as 17,492 beds are occupied in government hospitals, while 13,250 beds are occupied in private hospitals. In Bhopal, JK Hospital and People’s Hospital have been contracted by government. Minister Vishwas Sarang said that 150 beds are vacant for Corona patients in People’s Hospital. 67 per cent of patients under home isolation: Chief Minister said that 67 per cent of total patients of corona are in home isolation and 33 per cent of the patients are admitted in hospitals. Of the patients admitted in hospitals, 18 per cent are on oxygen support and 8 per cent are in ICU.
 
At present, number of active corona patients in the state is more than 30,000. Now 180 metric tonnes of oxygen availability: Chief Minister said that availability of oxygen in state is 60 MT which has been tripled. Now the availability of oxygen in our hospitals is 180 MT which is adequate. COVID Care Centers are being established in every district, for the treatment of corona patients. An amount of Rs 2 crores each has also been released to each district for corona related arrangements. Orders for 50,000 Remdesivir injections placed: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that order for 50,000 Remdesivir injections has been placed for treatment of corona and injection supply has started. Sufficient supply of the injections will continue.
 
These injections will be administered free of cost in government and contracted hospitals. He was addressing an emergency meeting of Cabinet ministers on corona situation at Mantralaya on Saturday. Better arrangement of patients under home isolation: Chief Minister said that best arrangements are being made for patients living in home isolation. They are being looked after through District Command and Control Center. Instructions have also been given to districts to talk to them at least twice a day and conduct surprise inspections. CT Scan machine at district level: Chief Minister said that CT Scan machines are being arranged in every district hospital. Tenders have been issued in this regard. This process will be completed soon. Discussion held with Crisis Management groups: Chief Minister said that on Saturday, he spoke to members of Crisis Management Groups in each district and has told them to implement a strategy to prevent Corona infection according to the conditions of their district. Limited Lockdown should be preferred in small areas over total lockdown. Micro Containment Zones should be created.
