Police remained deployed at various points to check unnecessary movements of vehicles during corona curfew in Bhopal on Tuesday. Barricading of roads was done at various places and owing to this reason, vehicle riders, who have been exempted under certain conditions, have to take the long route to reach their destinations including offices. Barricades were put up at Misrod road, Veer Savarkar Bridge, Tallaiya Temple Road area, New Market locality, MP Nagar and other places of city including old city. Car drivers and two-wheeler riders, who hit roads due to their emergency works or to go to offices, were seen taking the long route to reach their destinations.

 

 

 

Cops were seen stopping couple of vehicles, quizzing the drivers that why they came out during corona curfew and where they were going and vice versa. To reach MP Nagar Zone 2, vehicle riders have to take the detour and have to go till Jyoti Talkies square and then they have to take the route to go inside MP Nagar Zone 2. One thing was noticeable that vehicle riders were seen riding their vehicle by wearing masks, which has been made mandatory by Government to contain the spread of corona pandemic. It’s out of fear of police checking that people are remaining inside their homes as much as possible.

 

This has resulted into thin turn out of vehicles on roads. Notably, Corona Curfew has been imposed to contain growing cases in Bhopal. With every passing day, Bhopal is creating new record of reporting high number of corona cases.
