City gets stock of Remdesivir injection through special plane

Special efforts made by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are yielding results. On Thursday, when much-needed Remdesivir injections were supplied across the State through State helicopter and plane to save precious lives critically infected with COVID-19 and admitted in various hospitals. The consignment of Remdesivir injections reached Jabalpur from Indore by State Government’s plane which landed Dumna Airport at around 4 pm on Thursday and was received by Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Ratnesh Kurariya.

While interacting with the media, CMHO Dr Kurariya shared that the Health Department, Jabalpur has received 39 boxes of Remdesivir injections specially sent by the State Government through State plane. Each box contains 48 injections. Out of 39 boxes, 29 boxes were allotted to NSCB Medical College while 10 boxes were received by the District Hospital. The CMHO further expressed that these injections will be used for treating patients admitted in Government hospitals in best possible manner. Right now these injections were allotted for patients admitted in NSCB Medical College and Hospital and District Hospital only.
 
Earlier, around 200 boxes of Remdesivir injections reached Indore Airport through truck from Nagpur. From where, 42 boxes were sent to Bhopal, 7 boxes to Ratlam and 4 boxes were sent to Khandwa through State helicopter. Similarly, 19 boxes to Gwalior, 18 boxes to Rewa, 39 boxes to Jabalpur and 14 boxes were sent to Sagar through State plane. Whereas, 57 boxes were supplied to Indore-based hospitals for treatment of COVID patients. In Jabalpur, CMHO Dr Kurariya was accompanied by SDM Ranjhi, Divya Awasthi and Shashikant Soni at Dumna Airport.
