Total 27 per cent students appear in UPSC examination

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and National Defence Academy (NDA) have conducted its examination at more than 50 centres in Bhopal on Sunday. Amid the scare of COVID pandemic only 27 per cent applicants appeared at centres to write the exam. There were 15,773 candidates registered for the exam. Experts said that general above 40 per cent students appear in UPSC exam but this year students did not appear at centres in scare of the pandemic. Even many parents did not allow their ward to visit the exam centre.
 
District administration had provided bus facility for students at several bus stops. Buses were made available at Bhopal Railway Station platform no 6, Habibganj Railway Station platform no 1, Halalpura Bus stand and ISBT bus stand. Around 500 candidates sought detail of bus service at BCCL call centre.
 
The exam was scheduled from 10 am to 12:30 pm while second paper was from 2 pm. Strict safety measures were followed at all exams centres. Temperature of students was screened at entrance gate and then they were asked to sanitise their hands. All candidates were asked to maintain social distancing and gathering was not allowed strictly. Exam centres were sanitised before both shifts of exams.
