Harshit Tamrakar, a youth from Bhilai thought out of the box and started his startup which is proving helpful in the times of pandemic. The app ‘medishutter’ developed by Harshit is proving boon, as people are getting medicines delivered at their doorsteps on uploading the prescriptions. At a time, when the entire world is following social distancing and people too are avoiding the rush in medical halls, Harshit’s app is proving beneficial for people. Harshit informed that he received the incubation idea for the startup from the orientation programme of the Government. The Government in order to encourage the start-ups organises workshops and training programmes and Harshit too participated in them.
 
He learnt that technology can be used to target mass and the market. Meanwhile, in the app, information on discounts in medicines provided by the medical stores are also available. Moreover, it has been seen often that due to non availability of medicine, people have to run from one medical shop to another. But this application also give information regarding the availability of medicines in the medical stores.
 
Harshit informed that he has direct links with drug sellers in metro cities too and ordering the medicines and receiving the orders takes only some time. Dr Shashank Katiyar from Junwani informed that he orders medicines through the app now, while previously he had to go to the medical stores. He said that on typing the name of the drugs in the app, he receives the medicine instantly. Similarly, a businessman from Indira Market, Rajiv Gupta informed that in the present times avoiding crowd is necessary and he orders medicines via app now. He said that payment after delivery is among the good features of the application.
