Lockdown in district will commence from 6 pm today n All the boundaries of the district will remain sealed 
 
Yet another district of Chhattisgarh joined the list of total lockdown district after Sukma Collector and District Magistrate Vinit Nandanwar imposed the lockdown in the entire district from 6 pm, April 20 to 7 am May 1 in view spiraling covid cases in the state as well as in the district. During the lockdown, all boundaries of Sukma district will remain sealed. Medical shops will be allowed to open within their stipulated time. Operators of medical shops will give priority to home delivery of medicines.
 
All the weekly/daily haat markets and liquor shops will remain closed. Petrol pump operators will give fuel only to government vehicles / vehicles used in Government work, ATMs, private vehicles / ambulances related to hospital / medical emergency, vehicles used in LPG transport work, airport / railway auto / taxi operated from station / interstate bus stand, valid e-pass holding vehicle, candidate / guardian on showing admit card / call centre vehicles, media personnel / press vehicle / news paper hawker, dairy vehicle on showing identity card. Fruits, vegetables can be sold by street vendors in carts / bicycles from 07.00 am to 12.00 noon. Outside the boundary of urban areas, the dhaba / restaurant located on the national highway will be allowed to operate only for takeaway till 10.00 pm. The sale /distribution of milk and the distribution of newspapers by hawkers will be allowed from 7.00 am to 09.00 am only. Agencies of LPG gas cylinders will take telephonic or online orders only and will provide home access service of cylinders to customers. The construction units will be allowed to conduct operations and construction works by keeping the laborers within their premises and making other necessary arrangements with the prior permission of the concerned sub divisional magistrates.
 
All religious, cultural and tourist places, parks, etc. will remain completely closed, morning / evening walks will be banned. The marriage programme will be allowed in the residence of bride or bridegroom and on the condition of maximum 10 persons involved. Similarly, the maximum number of persons to be involved in death related programs like Antyushti, Dasagatra etc. is fixed at 10. But for all the above mentioned works require approval from the concerned Tehsildar. In the above period all central / Government / semi-government / private offices / banks under Sukma district will remain closed. However offices connected with telecom, postal / courier services, loading-unloading work, bulk transportation of food items, transportation for paddy milling will be operational in order to ensure availability of food grains in fair price shops. All the educational activities will be closed except the transportation of food grains from the warehouse to the fair price shop and all the examinations permitted by the government. But the hospital and the ATM will continue to operate.
 
Subordinate officers / employees can be called to work as required by the office head. During emergency, a maximum of 03 including a driver in four-wheelers, 3 persons including a driver in an auto and 2 persons in two wheeler will be allowed with travel documents. Auto / taxi operations will be allowed for railway station, airport, bus stand, hospital traffic but there will be complete ban for other purposes. In the unavoidable circumstances, it will be mandatory for the passengers going from Sukma district need to get permission through e-pass. However, for the candidates appearing in competitive / other examinations, they have their admit card and the officers / employees / doctors / doctors working in private hospitals / postal / telecom, hospital or Covid-19 duty and self employed doctors.
