City’s Papiya Mallick awarded National Nritya Guru Ratna Award

 

 

 

Papiya Mallick from Jabalpur was conferred with National Nritya Guru Ratna Award during recently held Baisakhi Cuttack Mahotsava, All India Online Dance, Music, Mono Act and Recitation Festival for her contribution in the promotional, preservation and popularization of Indian Performing Arts in the field of Kathak dance. The event was organized by the Literature and Cultural Department, Government of Orissa on April 14, 2021.

 

Papiya received the invitation to give her performance in the programme. She mesmerized everyone with her extraordinary talent and received the award by Utkal Yuva Sanskrutik Sangh. Due to unprecedented condition due event was organised online following all safety protocols strictly.
