In compliance with order given by Collector Karmveer Sharma, all Sub-Divisional Magistrates and tehsildars visited a number of hospitals in the city and examined availability of oxygen, Remdesivir injections and medical facilities. Accordingly, SDM Ranjhi, Divya Awasthi, SDM Gorakhpur Maneendra Singh along with Tehsildar Shyam Nandan Chandel, Anoop Shrivastava, Rajesh Singh and others visited a number of hospitals including City Hospital, Marble City Hospital, VFJ Hospital, Smart City Hospital, Suvidha Polyclinic, Global Hospital, Medicare Hospital, Galaxy Hospital, Life Medicity, National Hospital, Siddhi Vinayak Hospital, New Life Hospital, Bombay Heart Care and Mahakoshal Super Specialty Hospital. Senior administrative officials checked the requirement, availability and supply of oxygen in the hospitals. On the occasion they also held talk with the family members of covid-19 patients.

 

They also discussed with the patients, for whom Remdesivir injections were allotted, that they got the injections or not. During inspection the senior officials advised hospital administration to ensure better treatment of patients. They also sought detailed information about the covid wards and beds in hospitals.

 

The officials also took information about the treatment being given to covid-19 patients. It may be noted that the massive surge in covid cases has troubled the administration. Most of the hospitals are running out of beds. Many hospitals are facing shortage of oxygen, remdesivir injections and other life saving drugs. Hence, the Collector has asked all SDMs and Tehsildars to conduct inspection of hospitals of concerned areas and ensure all required facilities for covid-19 patients.
