For the last one-and-half year, the country has been struggling with the coronavirus pandemic. “In this fight against the pandemic, the first thing we remember is the nurse that supports the sick with unselfish devotion. Whenever a person needs medical treatment it is the nurse that worries about health and gives her precious service. I get a feeling, in a natural conditions when we require medical care our mothers cannot reach us, God has created the nurse so we do not feel that God and mothers care are lacking,” said Ravindra Himte, National Secretary of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) while speaking on the auspicious occasion of International Nurses Day.
The special programme was organised in the premises of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Cancer Hospital. Guiding the nurses, Gajanan Gatlewar, Nagpur District Head of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh said, “I congratulate all the nurses for the humanitarian work they fearlessly provide in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, without worrying about their own safety. The society welcomes all the nurses of the world who are continuously providing their services to make the nation healthy and the workers attached to this organisation and the Senior Citizen Confederation attached to this organisation.” In the programme, to boost their moral, all the nurses were given a certificate of merit.
The National Vice President of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Nita Choube, Senior General Secretary of Senior Citizens Confederation Vasantrao Pimpapure, Secretary Suresh Chaudhari, Harshal Thombre, Mahesh Purohit, Milind Saraikar, Smita Dev, State Secretaries of Maharashtra Vishesh Federation, Sunil Bokse, Dharmaraj Patane, Rajesh Poffali, Dinesh Tipri and others were prominently present on the occasion.
