Collector and DFO inspect the construction work
The Biodiversity Park coming up at Talpuri will have the beauties of nature along with Open Theater, Lotus Pond and Boating facilities in the coming time. This biodiversity park spread over 250 acres will also house many migratory birds due to wetland. Walking in the path amidst the shade of thousands of trees, people will find themselves completely close to nature. Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure and DFO Dhammasheel Ganveer inspected the Biodiversity Park in Talpuri and all these were planned. Additional Collector Richa Prakash Chaudhary and District Panchayat CEO Sachchidanand Alok were also present. DFO Dhammsheel Ganveer informed that fencing is being done all over the lake for the birds’ habitat and for their breeding. Also arrangements for boating in the pond and open theater the park will be done. He also informed of developing a pond as a Lotus Pond.
He said that it is a magnificent wetland and naturally it will make better habitat for the birds. In future, this park will become the home of birds like paradise flycatcher, greyhornbill and whistling ducks. He said that work is being done to clean the water hyacinth in the pond. Collector said that this is a big park and there is a lot for visitors to see here. Landmarks should be put in the way and people will be comfortable if the roadmap is placed in front. He particularly praised Memorial Corner in this park. He said that people have planted saplings here in memory of their loved ones and they will also plant saplings here in future.
This initiative to connect people with nature emotionally in this way is highly appreciated. The Memorial Corner states that by protecting nature, we can also protect our existence. It is worth mentioning that Biodiversity Park has already been a very rich area for diverse species of trees. Recently, intensive planting was also done here. This plantation will further enrich the biodiversity here. According to the way the wetland is being developed here, by planting saplings, this area will be better developed as a home for the birds.
