A city-based engineer has invented the world’s most affordable automatic solar panel cleaning system and also got patented the equipment from Government of India recently. Ameya Bansod, a former student of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM) and Government Polytechnic, Nagpur has invented the automatic cleaning system which will help to clean the solar panels without any human effort. Solar panels are now getting popularity world-wide and its time-to-time cleaning is also becoming a hectic job for every one. There are many automated cleaning systems available in the market but they are very costly.

The automatic system invented by Ameya is very cheap and anyone can afford to clean his or her solar panels by investing a nominal amount. “The system consists of a sprinkler, pump, controller and a pipe which just requires the time and date input from a person. On the same day and time, the system automatically initiates the cleaning process of the panels without any efforts by any person,” said Ameya to ‘The Hitavada’. Ameya completed his Masters in Mechatronics from Newcastle University, United Kingdom.

He worked as Design Engineer and Project Manager with many automobile companies in United Kingdom. After gaining experience, Ameya started his own startup named ‘Zoom Solar’ in which he is selling the automatic solar panel cleaning system in the country as well as in the world. These systems are getting huge response all over the world due to its design, affordability and scalability. These systems also save water as compared to manual cleaning and solar plant of any size gets cleaned in just one minute. People can get the system from the website of Zoom Solar and also available on Amazon.
