Ratre becomes oldest Indian to scale Mount Elbrus

JYOTI Ratre has become the oldest Indian mountaineer to brave the daunting 5,642-metre high Mount Elbrus, one of the famous mountains situated in Russia and the European continent. A group comprising four members, including Bhopal’s Jyoti, led by an adventure club, headed to Moscow, the capital of Russia on July 2, 2021.
 
All the members of the group stood victorious by climbing the peak of Mount Elbrus. Prior to achieving this acquisition, Jyoti, has also climbed the 6,001 metre peak of Mount Dev Tibba, situated in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Marking her victory over Mount Elbrus, Jyoti has fetched pride and honour to the State as well as India. Notably, Jyoti’s husband KK Ratre is General Manager in MPEB, Govindpura. On Jyoti’s huge achievement, the MPEB has congratulated her. Jyoti Ratre holds the tricolour as she climbs the peak of Mount Elbrus in Russia.
