BHUPESH Kale,
Secretary, BK Sports Academy, and a former Vidarbha hockey player has become the first certified coach from the region. Kale appeared for the Hockey India organised Coaching Education Pathway Level-1 Course recently. Representing Maharashtra, Kale brought the laurels by clearing the examination held at Delhi and Kalinga Hockey Stadium, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha thus becoming the first to do so from Vidarbha. Around 122 international, national players and coaches participated from Pan India and 65 candidates successfully completed the course.
Course programme was lead by BJ Kariappa, Junior India men’s hockey coach and former India player Vikram Kanth. Kale had represent Vidarbha in several national championships and also represented Nagpur University hockey team in All India West Zone Inter-University Championships. He has 15 years experience of hockey coaching and has intensively coached kids as well as clubs in Sindewahi, Chandrapur, Wardha and Nagpur. Kale thanked all his friends and well-wishers for his success.
