15 RPF personnel feted for catching thief who stole OHE wires worth Rs 10 lakh

West Central Railway (WCR) felicitated 15 RPF personnel for catching accused involved in the theft of OHE wires whose estimated cost was Rs 10 lakh. A bundle of OHE wires were stolen from a newly constructed rail line located between Jhalrapatan and Junakheda station. A joint team consisting of officers from Crime Intelligence branch of Jabalpur, Bhopal, Kota division and Ramganj RPF post personnel were set up by Railway protection Force 0f Jabalpur Headquarters for investigating the theft. Through technical and physical surveillance, the team gathered necessary information about the theft from nearest rail division and railway stations namely, Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Kota, Guna and Baran. Railway station.
 
The team arrested accused Hamid and scrap dealer Zeeshan based on evidence gathered by them. The team also arrested another scrapdelaer Mustaq and Amir, who was involved in purchase of OHE wires from scarp dealer. The team seized vehicle that was used in theft. WCR GM Shailendra Kumar Singh congratulated the team and felicitated them for solving the case.
