Bhojram Patel (IPS) took charge as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of the district on Friday. He has said that strengthening basic policing and rapid redressal of cases will be his priorities. He has also stressed on promoting social policing to ensure better police-public coordination. After taking charge, Patel called a meeting of his sub ordinates and issued necessary guidelines. He inquired about the challenges of the district.
Patel said that being an industrial district, the area houses people from different parts of the nation, making it a mini India. He said that his aim was to ensure peace and safety for the citizens in every nook and corner, covering colonies as well as slums.
The newly-posted SP of the district, Bhojram Patel reached the district and took charge on Friday. A resident of village Tarpur, Raigarh, Patel became an IPS in 2013, without help of any coaching classes. Patel has been popular for his social work and carrying out his responsibilities sincerely.
He is known for his compassionate approach towards the senior citizens and the poor, and providing better atmosphere for the complainants who reach police stations to
seek justice.
