CITY’S note veteran yoga performer Dr Rajshree Jain bagged a silver medal in the 2nd National Level Online Yogasana Championship – 2021. The event was organised by Dream Yoga Centre. Representing Maharashtra in the age group 61 and above for females, Dr Jain finished second best. In fact she got just one point less the winner form Telangana State Anita Moturi. Dr Jain ended with 31 points from maximum 50 while Moturi earned 32 points. In the first four asanas — shalabhasana, veerabhadrasana setu, bhandasana and navasana both the players scored identical marks but in the final choice asana, Moturi pipped Dr Jain by one point. The event was held on eve of International Yoga Day. In the online Dr Jain World Yoga Cup and National Level Online Yogasana Championship that was held in December 2020, Dr Jain had won gold medals. Dr Jain is also a competitive national level veteran swimmer. She was till date won 177 medals including a century of golds. She also won 57 silver and 20 bronze medals at various district, state and national events.
