Green is the colour of Nature, life, prosperity, harmony and energy, which is closely associated with meanings of hope, freshness and environment. It’s the colour which revitalises the body and mind. Green is also a part of the national flag. The Pre -primary wing of Delhi Public School (DPS) Mandla road and DPS Junior observed virtual Green Colour Day and Van Mahotsav recently with sheer excitement and joy in the presence of school Director, teachers, parents and children. The objective behind this celebration was to make the tiny -tots aware of different shades of the green colour and also about Van Mahotsav a week long festival which is celebrated every year in the first week of July .

 

The festival aims at increasing number of trees all over India. In order to emphasise importance of green colour teacher showed various green coloured objects like plants, vegetables, fruits, pen etc and also shared videos, recited rhymes to create a good impactful learning environment. Kids of pre - Nursery and Nursery class made a beautiful painting of tree by ear buds dabbing while Prep class students made scenery by thumb impressions. Parents along with children enthusiastically participated assisting the kids to imbibe the concept of the colour. At the end children recited rhymes and shared importance of trees, which created the positive learning environment.
