Chitrasen Sahu has already conquered Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kothiarath and is eying for the third - Elbrus Mountain
 
Chitrasen will depart on his expedition on August 17 and is expected to reach the summit on August 24
 
 
Bilateral amputee Chitrasen Sahu of Chhattisgarh is all set to attain another feat and make national record as he has decided to scale the highest peak of Mount Elbrus in Europe. The mountain is located in Russia whose height is 5,642 metres (18510 feet). Chitrasen will be the first in the country to climb this mountain as far as any double amputee person is concerned. Chitrasen will give the message of mission inclusion and plastic free earth. State’s Blade Runner, who is known as ‘Half Human Robo’, Chitrasen Sahu will also give the message ‘stand on your feet’. Chitrasen will depart on his expedition on August 17 and is expected to reach the summit on August 24. Prior to this, Chitrasen Sahu created a national record by conquering Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kothiarath.
 
To be noted, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in the continent of Africa and Mount Kothiarath is the highest mountain on the continent of Australia. Chitrasen is the first amputee of the country to achieve this feat. Chitrasen Sahu said that due the artificial legs, there is a lot of difficulty in mountain climbing and it is a great challenge in itself, which they have accepted and their goal is to conquer the seven continents. He has already conquered two peaks and is eying for the third in the form of Elbrus Mountain.
 
This mountaineering expedition will be completed with the support of North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA) Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Augtech nextwealth and social initiative partner Sumit Foundation (Jeevandeep), Rajendra Kisanlal Foundation. It is worthwhile to mention, Chitrasen is also a National Wheelchair Basketball player and National Para Swimmer. He had to fight a long battle for a driving licence. Chitrasen has also set a record in skydiving, as he skydived from 14,000 feet.
