The Subhash Nagar Railway Over Bridge (ROB), whose construction work has been finished since long, will soon become operational in Bhopal. On Sunday, Medical Education Minister and Narela MLA Vishwas Sarang inspected the flyover. Sarang said that because of the ongoing metro construction, traffic was not allowed on ROB. It will be started once the ROB’s traffic test is done. Minister Sarang said that the traffic on ROB towards the flour mill was creating a possibility of accidents, and to deal with this it was decided to install a rotary and signal. The Minister, while inspection along with the officials of PWD, identified and marked the place for rotary and signal. Now, the testing of traffic passing from here will be done for a week and if there no problem arrives then the ROB will be started for the public, Sarang said.
 
The minister said that the Metro work for the blamed the Congress government, which was in power for 15 months, for delay in the flyover and. The testing will be done by passing the traffic on the ROB within a week and if everything goes well, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the flyover and present it to the public, Minister Sarang added. He said with launching of this ROB, a population of about 2 lakh including the people of Narela Vidhan Sabha will be benefited. The launching of this ROB will directly benefit the residents of Old Subhash Nagar, New Subhash Nagar, Padyanabh Nagar, Ashoka Garden, Ashok Vihar, Punjabi Bagh, Govind Garden, MP Nagar, Arera Hills, Gautam Nagar, Rachna Nagar, and of other areas. Notbaly, the Subhash Nagar ROB has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 21 crore. The total length of ROB is 641 meters and its width is about 15 meters.
