Low pressure area associated with cyclonic circulation over the State is bringing more and more rainfall in the region, including Jabalpur. The city, on Friday, received good rainfall. Since several days, light to moderate showers are lashing the city continuously. The fresh spell of rains has added to the total tally to 467.3 mm. However, last year total rainfall till today was recorded to 698.9 mm.
Anyways, continuous rainfall is filling the water bodies at good pace. Likewise, water level of big reservoirs like Khandari, Pariyat is also increasing gradually. The cyclonic circulation and low-pressure system developed over adjoining regions have brightened the chances of good rainfall in Madhya Pradesh including the city in next few days. The forecast of weather department has given a further sigh of relief for citizens. The city has been receiving rainfall continuously. For the last few days showers are lashing the city during earlier morning and evening hours. The monsoon activities have provided much needed relief to the denizens as daytime temperature has plummeted below normal range. The maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at 29.0 degree Celsius while minimum was 23.7 degree Celsius. The humidity in the morning was 90 percent while in the evening it was recorded at 86 per cent. The local weather department has forecast for moderate rain or thundershowers in most of the places in the division.
