GVK Emergency Management Research Institute (EMRI) 102 Mahatari Express Ambulance completed 8 years of service in Chhattisgarh State on August 23. A felicitation program was organised in the office of GVK at Raipur. Staffs were felicitated for their commendable services and certificates were awarded. As per information Mahatari Express 102 has served mankind in remote tribal areas of state where medical services were not easily available. Staffs of 102 Mahatari Express are making praiseworthy efforts against all odds to provide best possible service to needy persons on time. State Government has started Mahatari Express Ambulance service to help the pregnant women of state, so that in case of emergency they can be taken to health centres on time to get medical attention at the earliest. On August 23, 2013 the service was started in Bilaspur district with 21 ambulances.

 

Later the service was expanded and at present 324 ambulances are being operated round the clock 365 days. For any cases related to pregnancy, medical examination of pregnant women, family planning operations, in case of ailment of babies less than one year of age free 102 Mahatari Express services can be availed by calling 102 toll free numbers. As per record during eight years of service over 55.73 lakh beneficiaries were taken to hospitals on time. Not only this during COVID-19 pandemic COVID suspected and infected pregnant women and young children were taken to hospital for immediate medical attention through 102 Mahatari Express Ambulance service.

 

At the same time in the entire state between May 2020 to July 2021 total of 11,601 Covid-19 suspected and infected pregnant women were taken to hospital through 102 Mahatari Express. During the pandemic situation the dedicated staff of Mahatari Express extended helping hand to the needy persons with great courage and determination thus earning reputation in the heart of the beneficiaries through their noble service to mankind. Ramkrishna Verma, State Head of GVK EMRI, Shibu Kumar, Prashant Muttyamwar and other officials of 102 Mahatari Express service and staff were present in large numbers during the function. Efforts of all the staff were praised during the function.
