Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said that newly-declared Manendragarh district will now be known as Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur. He announced this before the delegations of Sakti and Manendragarh who had come to Raipur to express their gratitude to Chief Minister for making new districts. The people of Manendragarh greeted the Chief Minister by offering a crown.
 
The citizens also presented him letters of greetings on the occasion. In the program, citizens from both the newly declared districts and representatives of various organisations also expressed their gratitude to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Dr Charan Das Mahant, for the creation of new districts. Addressing the citizens from both the newly declared districts, the Chief Minister said that he can see the love in the people for their soil with the formation of a new district. With the enthusiasm with which people are welcoming the new districts, one can get an idea of what kind of happiness there will be, said the Chief Minister. Along with the creation of new districts, development works in all areas including education, health, employment in these districts will gain momentum.
 
Keeping in view the demand and sentiments of the people of Manendragarh, Chief Minister announced to rename the newly declared Manendragarh district as Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur. He said that Chhattisgarh is the 9th largest state in the country geographically, with sparse population in many areas. Due to this, there are many problems in taking government schemes to the general public. He said that new districts have been formed in the state to reduce the wide gap between the administration and the general public. Assembly Speaker Dr Charan Das Mahant said that the years old dream of citizens of Sakti and Manendragarh has been fulfilled by Chief Minister.
