Vidarbha Management Association (VMA) recently organised Wisdom Hour on the topic ‘Knowing the Unknown About Digital Marketing.’ The keynote speaker Lokesh Shahu, Director ICT Media Pvt Ltd and Founder Serve Ads said, “Podcast will be the next big thing in digital marketing.” Shahu further said, “Podcast is a smart and new next gen tool of digital marketing that reduces the screen time andpresents audio medium in its best form.” He said that the easily consumable content will be most liked in podcasts and already a lot of companies have started shifting to podcasts. While sharing his expertise on trends in digital marketing, he advised to take calculated risk by making mix of tools strategy. Giving an example, he said, “A person travelling a distance of 20 minutes by car can easily consume podcast audio stretching from 12-15 minutes.
This way companies/ businesses can strongly register their ideas / products/ services to customers.” He also suggested going for influencer marketing which hits the right set of audiences making the product or service more visible and convincing. Other digital marketing tools that he highlighted were voice command apps, Google ads, Digital PR, Website, OTT platforms etc. While wrapping up, he said there are many smart and creative ways of reaching audiences through digital marketing. One should identify the audience to be reached and start using a mix of tools strategy for getting better outcomes. VMA recently conducted a workshop on ‘Business Automation’ wherein the workshop was attended by a large number of members and the faculty was Amol Gadge.
Also a management development programme was recently conducted with IIM, Indore exclusively for VMA members at Indore campus and 30 entrepreneurs enrolled for the programme . Vidarbha Management Association is based at Nagpur and meets every Sunday at 10.30 am. VMA is dedicated to impart learning related to business management and leadership to its members.
