CM ayes Rs 7.25 cr for devpt of 7 Swami Atmanand Schools

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel approved Rs 7, 25,66,000 for infrastructure development and expansion of seven Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools (SAEMS) operational in Patan Assembly constituency of Durg district through a virtual programme organised at CM’s official residence in Raipur on Monday. Baghel congratulated children on commencement of classes at all 16 Swami Atmanand English schools of Durg district from Monday. The corona crisis is not over yet and therefore all need to be very careful to prevent the pandemic. The Chief Minister said that four new English schools are being started from this session. With this, children will get better facilities. He said that 172 English schools are being started across State.
 
With the best education in these schools, better facilities are being provided to the children. Seeing the quality of Swami Atmanand English School, children from private schools also want to study in these schools. In Durg district, 7,878 children have taken admission in Atmanand Schools. The main objective of Swami Atmanand English School is to provide good education to the children of the poorest of the poor families. “Our aim is to improve personality of the students. These children will become the citizens of future new Chhattisgarh and will take their state to new heights,” said the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister interacted with the children of all 7 schools of Patan. Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister, student of Swami Atmanand English School, Patan, Nishant said that the Chief Minister’s efforts have opened a new door of opportunity for children like them. Their dream to study in a better English medium schools has come true. Nishant said that he wants to become a sketch artist after studying and writing. Shiney, a student of Sailud, said that by starting an English medium school, the Chief Minister has ensured the best education for those children, who were not able to study in private English schools due to financial constraints. Ramanshu Sahu and Aarohi Verma also expressed their views.
 
Dharmendra Sinha of Patan School Palak Samiti thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of the Parents, School Management Committee, Parent Committee of Patan region. Khadi Village Industries Board member Hemant Dewangan, teacher Chandrika Uday, parent Kamlesh Mishra also thanked Chief Minister. Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure presented the report at the beginning of the programme. He said that out of 2,880 seats in 7 English schools of Patan region, 2,089 seats are filled. 157 teachers have been appointed in these schools. These schools include Kumhari, Janjgiri, Patan, Selud, Ranitarai, Jamgaon M and Jamgaon R. Ashish Verma, Nagar Panchayat President Bhupendra Kashyap and other public representatives, parents and school children were present.
