Chhattisgarh Medical Teacher’s Association (CMTA) has organised a farewell for the retired senior doctors of Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College (PtJNMMC) on Monday. Chief guest was Dr A K Chandrakar, Vice-Chancellor of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Ayush and Health Science University. Programme was organised at newly constructed Atal Bihari Vajpayee auditorium located at Medical College campus. Former Director of Medical Education Dr RK Singh who retired on July 31 and former DME Dr SL Adile, former Dean Medical College Dr Abha Singh, Former Professor Dr Ajit V Daharwal, Dr VN Mishra, Dr Nalini Mishra and Dr SK Azad were given farewell. Dr Arvind Neral, President of Medical Teachers Association gave welcome speech. Dean Medical College and Director Medical Education, Dr Vishnu Dutt shared his work experience with the retired doctors and seniors. He wished them long healthy retirement life ahead.

 

Dr Jaya Lalwani, Secretary of Teachers Association informed that DR RK Singh gave new dimensions to forensic department of Raipur Medical College. His teachings have benefited officials of Home Department and Police Department. He served as Medico Legal Advisor of Chhattisgarh government. Head of Forensic department, Dr Snigdha Jain informed that Dr Singh was very punctual, dedicated and soft spoken. In his address Dr RK Singh said throughout service he received cooperation from all. Retirement is part of life and it opens new horizons. Retired Dean Dr Abha Singh and Dr Ajit V Daharwal shared their experience of Medical College.

 

A documentary prepared by Dr Santosh Singh Patel was projected before the participants. Dr Vishnu Dutta was welcomed for getting additional charge as Director Medical Education. Dr Devpriya Lakra and Dr Nirmal Verma, Vice-President of Teachers Association coordinated the programme. Dr Onkar Khandwal, Secretary of Teachers Association expressed gratitude towards guests, programme was conducted by Dr Jaya Lalwani. Dr Nidhi Pandey, Dr Snigdha Jain, Dr Hansa Banjara and Dr Jyoti Jainswal gave brief introduction of retired teachers of their departments. Mahasamund Medical College Dean Dr PK Nigam, Ambikapur Medical College Dean Dr Ramesh Murty, Kanker Medical College Dean Dr ML Garg, Rajnandgaon Medical College Dean Dr Renuka Gahine, Dr B R Ambedkar Memorial Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Vineet Jain, Rajandgaon Medical College Superintendent Dr Sandeep Chandrakar, Dr Pratibha Jain Shah, Dr Sharja Phuljhele, Dr P K Khodiyar, Dr Sumit Tripathi, Dr Smit Shrivastava, Dr K K Sahu, Dr Pradeep Chandrakar, Dr Diwakar Dhurandhar, Dr Devpriya Rath and doctors of all department were present on the occasion.
