Yard remodeling work and doubling of railway track concluded in Lakholi Section of Raipur Railway division. The work started on July 27 and concluded on August 5. Railway sources informed that as a result of the yard remodeling and doubling work system improvement and yard extension took place in Lakholi Section. It would result in better passenger amenities in future.

 

It will help in speeding up speed limit of trains and result in punctuality of trains. Lakholi station will be upgraded. The importance of Raipur-Lakholi section will also increase from the point of view of freight transport. Supply of essential commodities, goods will reach the freight industry or electricity houses faster, which will boost the infrastructure, which will increase the revenue required for the development of the country.

 

At Lakholi Railway Station Panel Interlocking installation has been changed to Electronic Interlocking. Additional two general loop lines of CSL-746 metre and 762 metres have been provided. Long trains can be operated with great ease. Five lines will now be available in Lakholi yard. Movement of trains will be done faster in Raipur-Lakholi section due to doubling of lines. Gujara level crossing will be contoled by Lakholi Station. Data Logger, Fire Alarm System, Fuse alarm system have been installed.
