An e-wheel chair was deployed at Ajni railway station for convenience of Divyang and elderly passengers. It was done as part of contract inked by Central Railway's Nagpur Division wherein one can book it through app, AAS e-Wheelchair. Passengers can make payment through the mobile app before deboarding at the station and book the chair. Nagpur being the Medical Hub of Central India attracts many patients from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha region and this service shall provide an hassle free amenity to the railway commuters. The service shall be available with an attendant with a fixed amount of charge of Rs. 250, including GST. This first of its kind service over Central Railways and second in country after Delhi Division of Northern Railway.
 
Through the contract, division would earn Rs 2.25 lakhs annual non fare revenue. This is 36th Innovative Idea earning contract awarded by Nagpur Division since 2019 under the reformative New & Innovative idea for Non Fare Revenue Scheme (NINFRIS) Policy of Railway Board. This important passenger amenity contract in line with Make in India and Digital India’ initiatives of Government of India was finalised under direction of Richa Khare, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM); Manoj Tiwari, Additional Divisional Railway Manager; Krishnath Patil, Sr. DCM; by Vijay C Thool, ACM (Coaching) and Tara Prasad Acharya, Chief Commercial Inspector (NFR).
