Kedar exhorts youths to be responsible citizens

EXHORTING youths of the nation to be responsible citizens, Maharashtra Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sunil Kedar, asked them to pledge to perform their duties with utmost sincerity. Kedar was addressing a Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF) function on year-long celebrations from August 2021 to commemorate 75 years of Independence, at Hingna on Wednesday. Kedar also welcomed the CRPF team of cyclists who had embarked on their journey from Kanyakumari to Rajghat. CRPF Deputy Inspector General Prashant Jambhulkar, Commandant Subhash Chandra, Santosh Mishra, Commandant Karuna Rai, Public Relation Officer Pradeep Dwivedi and other senior officers were prominently present on the occasion. In his introductory remarks, Jambhulkar informed the gathering about various events lined up to celebrate the 75th year of India’s independence.
 
Main aim of the rally was to spread the message of United India, he added. CRPF’s cycle rally started from Kanyakumari on August 22. As many as 30 riders reached the city on Wednesday covering 580 kms from Hyderabad. The efforts taken by physically challenged and women cyclists were appreciated by all. On the occasion a slew of cultural programmes were also held including presentation of dhol-taasha, recitation of patriotic songs by Nehru Yuwa Kendra and dance by students of Kendriya Vidyalaya.
