Union Minister for Road Transportation and National Highways Nitin Gadkari dedicating various road projects during a programme in Indore on Thursday. Union Minister for Road Transport and National Highways, Nitin Gadkari dedicated 34 road projects of 1356 km long, costing around Rs 9,577 crore in Indore on Thursday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, PWD Minister Gopal Bhargava, former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Home Minister Dr Narottam Mishra, BJP National Sec etc were present in the programme. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister Jyotiradiya Scindia, Union Minister Prahalad Patel joined the programme in virtual manner. Nitin Gadkari said that once Madhya Pradesh was known as a sick state and now under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, it has received a new direction of development. Madhya Pradesh has excelled in all sectors including infrastructure, science, technology etc. he was of the view that any state can only develop when its basic infrastructure is good.
 
He also promised full cooperation from central government in making Madhya Pradesh as logistical hub. He also said that during his tenure, he has started projects of Rs 1.5 crore in Madhya Pradesh. He promised that next month, he will again visit Madhya Pradesh and will announce new projects of Rs 1 lakh crore. Talking about 1350 km long Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, he said that it will be constructed by 2023 and Madhya Pradesh will be also part of it. Under Expressway, 8 lane route of 245 km will be constructed, at the cost of Rs 11000 crore in state. This project will reduce the travel time between Delhi Mumbai from 24 hours to 12 hours. Taking to his twitter handle, Atal Progress Way and Narmada Express Way are being constructed and on either side of them, industries will be established which will create employment. In this, full cooperation from Nitin Gadkari is being received. He said that under the guidance of PM, a new direction for development of Madhya Pradesh has been received.
