BRIDGE enthusiasts of Vidarbha were engaged in an engrossing and relaxing session of pairs bridge at their favourite haunt, Vidarbha Bridge Association’s sports complex in Shankar Nagar on Sunday. For most, especially the silver-haired ones, it meant spending time doing what they enjoyed most at that age. Competing from a field of 11 pairs from Vidarbha region in 22 deals Match Point format played in Howell movement, Dhananjay Dabke combined well with MI Hararwala and succeeded in wresting top honours with a tally of 56.41 MP. Their performance was applauded by all bridge-mates.

 

Just behind them were Vivek Daga and S Khurana who finished runners-up with 55.95 MP. SK Patni, partnering PN Dixit, succeeded in ending up as second runners-up putting together 55.64 MP. Amit Rewatkar was Tournament Director for this brain game event. The club authorities have decided to host pairs event on every Sunday informed Rewatkar on behalf of the association. Winners Dhananjay Dabke (2R) and MI Hararwala (L) playing against CS Chaudhary (R) and SN Kulkarni.
