Dr Yeole among top 20 V-Cs in India recognised by uLektz Wall of Fame

Nagpur’s Dr Pramod Yeole who has introduced several student-oriented changes as Vice Chancellor of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), Aurangabad has figured in the list of top 20 Vice Chancellors of India identified by uLektz Wall of Fame. Dr Yeole is the only one from Maharashtra to be recognised by uLektz Wall of Fame. ULektz Wall of Fame is an initiative to identify, recognise and appreciate the contributors of higher education in the country. Celebrating and honouring the unique contribution of some of the finest women educators in Tamil Nadu, who, through their commitment, have not only improved the quality of education, but also enriched the lives of their students, uLektz Wall of Fame will be honouring ‘Top 20 Eminent Vice-Chancellors of India’ for the year 2020. Dr Yeole as Pro-Vice Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) had introduced examination reforms.
 
His ideas of conducting examinations, declaring results, on-line valuation, facilitating students became a landmark at State level and Chancellor of the State universities had suggested other universities to adopt the Nagpur pattern. During his tenure, RTMNU had witnessed establishment of incubation centre, giving momentum to start-up initiative. Similarly, Dr Yeole took BAMU to a new height. uLektz Wall of Fame’s August edition is dedicated to the Eminent Vice-Chancellors in India, who promote the reputation and the image of the University they serve through their outstanding achievements at the local, regional and international level. By honoring the efforts of the Vice-Chancellors in education industry, uLektz Wall of Fame acknowledges their contribution towards the development of academic programmes of the university and the general administration of the university to ensure efficiency and good order of the university. ULektz Wall of Fame has its own criterion, while selecting the Vice Chancellor.
 
The person should have shown utmost dedication in empowering students through education, who is changing the narrative in the education industry, who has come up with a solution in imparting quality education during trying times, who has re-modelled the existing system to solve the challenges faced in imparting quality education, who has done quality research in imparting education. The selection committee arrived at the final list based on teaching experience and research achievements like publications and books.
