In a major development Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has secured ‘A’ grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). For the second time in a row, the university has got ‘A’ status. It is noteworthy that the university maintained its status despite overcoming the growing vacancies and problems caused by the corona. The NAAC committee had inspected the university from September 2 to 4. The members had also interacted with students, researchers and alumni. Graph of progress, research work, and other things in various postgraduate departments of the university were examined.
It was expected that the NAAC committee would submit the report and the outcome is out within a week. But to the pleasant surprise of university it got the result in just four days. With new team, the work streamlined When Dr Subhash Chaudhari has taken over the charge as Vice-Chancellor, the complete team under him was new. Dr Subhash Chaudhary has brought positive changes in the university. He was particularly focused on research and quality. Even during corona pandemic the university performed best in online exams. A roadmap of the presentation was prepared. A few weeks ago, a colorful rehearsal was conducted in the presence of a committee of experts.
The head of the department as well as the students were given guidance on how to make the best presentation of the department before the committee, how to speak before the committee etc. Feeling proud: V-C “This is the fruit of the good work done at the university. These courses will be tailored to the demand of the concerned industries for the purpose of providing employment oriented education to the students. Students of any subject will be able to acquire new skills by completing these courses as rider courses, the sources said.
