Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, Arjun Ram Meghwal, on Saturday, announced that the Samadhi Sthal of Rani Durgavati in Narrai Nala will be given a grand look and a museum based on the heroic story of the queen would be built. He was addressing a huge gathering during the programme organised on the birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati and the camp organized under Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan at village Kunwarhat in Kundam block.
Union MOS Meghwal, while paying homage to the warrior queen Rani Durgavati, said she fought till her last breath with the Mughal rulers. On the occasion, Meghwal announced to give a grand look to the memorial built at the tomb of the queen and to build a museum at the site. He said whatever amount would be required for the work would be made available by the Union Ministry of Culture.
The Union Minister of State urged Member of Parliament, Rakesh Singh to prepare an action plan to build a museum at the site of the Samadhi and to give it a grand look and send it to the Central Government. He said along with the heroic story of the queen, the work done by her for water conservation and promotion will also be displayed in the museum so that the coming generation can take inspiration from them. He Mukhya Mantri Jan Seva Abhiyan, which started across the State from September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as a commendable initiative of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to reach the benefits of government schemes to every eligible beneficiary.
Expressing views on the occasion, MP Rakesh Singh said the valor and sacrifice of Rani Durgavati will always inspire the countrymen. He said Rani Durgavati not only displayed amazing bravery in the war against Mughal rulers, but showing her vision, she also showed the way to conserve water by constructing many ponds and water structures. Singh also urged the Union MoS Meghwal for help from the Central Government to develop the Samadhi Sthal of Rani Durgavati.
