VAIBHAV Shrirame and Chhakuli Selokar did the city proud by bagging a couple of gold and silver medals respectively in the 36th National Games in progress at IIT Gandhinagar in Gujarat on Sunday.

Vaibhav clinched his first gold in the traditional event on Saturday and on Sunday excelled in the artistic individual category picking yet another yellow metal.

Chhakuli also pocketed her first silver in the traditional event in women’s section and like Vaibhav made it two grabbing one more in artistic individual.

Members of the Amit Sports Academy, Vaibhav and Chhakuli are taking training by chief coach Sandesh Khare and assistant coaches Siddhath Khare, Swapnil Khare, Rishikesh Bagde, Priyanka Wairagade, Saurabh Khande. They are practising since last 11 years on Amit School premises. Both players give credit of their success to their parents. Director of school Tarabai Nakhate, Ashish, Sonu, Headmaster Pramod Kadu, Madhukar Doye, Anil and Satish Mohagaonkar, Piyush Ambulkar, Sandhya Bobde and others congratulated the duo and wished them luck.
