A large number of travellers faced flight booking problems on Indigo flights on Wednesday (October 12) and Thursday (October 13) as the airline server crashed due to a technical snag. Local travel agents said that many ticket bookings of Indigo airlines were delayed because of server failure across the country due to a malfunction. They said that some of the ticket bookings were diverted to other airlines.
However, an Indigo official at the airport booking counter confirmed that there was a delay in issuing new tickets as the system was not working properly.
Apart from this, passengers with valid ticket and boarding pass were not required web checking to board their flights at the Dr Babasaheb International Airport.
The ticket booking process at the airport counter was fairly smooth and Indigo officials extended their full support to passengers in getting tickets to travel based on flight availability. The Indigo server was working in a staggered manner on Thursday. The officials said that on an daily average there are 20 flights from Nagpur with a capacity of 180 passengers per flight.
Travel agents said that they were expecting the Indigo server to start functioning normally soon. The website was not
functioing till the filing of this report.
