Grand release of Hindi translation of the book ‘Who Killed Shastri’ written by famous filmmaker and director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri was held under the aegis of Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, at Ravindra Bhavan on Friday. In the programme, Medical Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh Vishwas Sarang was present as the chief guest, Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University Santosh Choubey presided over the programme. Apart from this, film director Vivek Agnihotri, book translator Vishwas Tiwari and educationist Amitabh Saxena were present on the stage during the book release. Chief guest Vishwas Sarang said that it is matter of pride that the residents of Bhopal rule the world. Rabindranath Tagore University not only provides education but also provides a global platform to the students. After Independence, it became a tradition to hide the facts. I congratulate Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri for working tirelessly to bring out the facts. Thousands of our revolutionaries have done a lot to make this country free. Vivek has taken the initiative to bring them to the fore now. History should be presented correctly. We should learn from mistakes. Shastri had said that the youth of this country is the future. Minister Sarang said, “I congratulate Agnihotri that he has done this work with utmost sincerity and honesty”. Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri said that it is important that this book is being released in Hindi. Talking about Vishwarang said that earlier we had forgotten that art is the soul of the society. Santosh Choubey has taken the initiative to keep this soul alive, for which he is very grateful. He also appreciated the initiative of Madhya Pradesh Government to provide science and medical education in mother tongue and thanked Minister Vishwas Sarang. He said that for this the whole country would thank MP in the future. Vivek Agnihotri said that earlier people used to ask whether you did not fear failure while working on such difficult subjects. So my answer has been that when you are on the path of Dharma and do the right thing, there is no failure at all. He further says that in the field of film, films are made on the choice of the audience.
So after a while the standard of films starts falling and they start flopping. I decided that I would tell stories that would raise people's global level of intelligence, draw people’s attention to topics or content that people often don’t see. Other filmmakers keep repeating the hit formula. Vivek Agnihotri said that earlier I had made the first film 'Buddha in a traffic jam' due to which today Urban Naxal is being talked about in the country.
The welcome speech in the program was given by Santosh Choubey. In this, while talking about the concept of Vishwarang, he said that this time a grand event of the world's largest Vishwa Rang Tagore International Literature and Art Festival will be held simultaneously in 50 countries of the world including India. Various creative sessions and activities focused on Indian culture, literature and art will be organised in India from November 14 to November 20 at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium (Minto Hall), Rabindra Bhavan, Rabindranath Tagore University.
