THREE shooters from city, Harshal Zade, Azhar Pasha and Rahil Ali, have been selected for the All India GV Mavalankar Shooting Competition (Asansol, West Bengal) and West Zone Shooting Championship which is under way at Indore. All the shooters will take part in .22 rifle prone events. At the Maharashtra Air Rifle and Fire Arms Competition held at Mumbai, Zade collected 361 points, Pasha garnered 356 and Ali picked 341 to get selected for the All India meet. All the three shooters are members of Struggle to Play for India Shooting Academy. With no facilities for 50 m .22 prone event in city, the shooters had to travel to Balewadi Pune for training. Shooting association’s Vice-President Piyush Ambulkar, Secretary Akash Gupta, Vivek Awasare, Vikas Gupta, Swapnil Kabir, Vivek Shau, Ketan Thakre and others wished the shooters luck.
